Tasteful Temptations catered a wedding for Tim Walters and Jill Jeager at St. Williams Catholic Church, St. Simons Island, on Saturday July 31st. The guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, followed by a buffet style dinner featuring items such as parmesan crusted chicken breast, and a mashed potato/sweet potato bar with condiments. We had a wonderful time helping the Walters celebrate their special day.

Although we won People’s Choice this year (2010) at the Taste of Glynn, we decided to post a few of our awards from the past. These are mostly from the Shrimp and Grits festival held here in Glynn County. Let us know what you think!

Recently, Tasteful Temptations was asked to prepare food for a photo shoot that will be used for a national advertising campaign.  We were excited to take on this project and prepare whatever kind of food they wanted.

I just wanted to thank you again for the great job you and Laura did on my son’s rehearsal dinner. You are both easy to work with and very professional. I appreciate the fact that you are both sensitive to the desires of your clients but not afraid to give advice concerning other alternatives for improving our evening. With your delicious food, advice and planning the entire evening went off without a hitch in spite of some unseasonably hot weather, which moved the cocktails inside.  The meal was delicious. We received many compliments from our guests on the superb dinner. In addition, the service was excellent. I can’t say enough good things about your staff. They were efficient and omnipresent without being obtrusive. They even helped my wife with her table decorations when their work load allowed.

Everyone at our wedding thought the food was absolutely amazing! We’ve had more compliments than you can imagine! Wes and I truly appreciated the “to-go-box” ya’ll made for us too! We had a wonderful time at our second year participating in the Taste of Glynn Fundraiser!  We were so blessed to have beautiful weather for our Poolside Location!  We brought our Vidalia Onion, Sweet Corn and Apple Wood Smoked Bacon Dip in Individual Bread Baskets, Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass with Soba Noodles and Julienned Vegetables, and Classic Bananas Foster over Vanilla Ice Cream with and Almond Tuille Cookie.  We had such a good time visiting with familiar faces and some new friends.   We are already looking forward to next year’s event!!

We just put up a few pictures of recent cakes and other desserts that we have done.   We love to make cakes that fit your wedding or event!  No challenge is too intimidating for us to conquer!

We started off February with an Open House for Joseph David Advertising in their new location by Ace Garden Center on SSI.  Friday we had a three part party at the Jane Holmes Estate on SSI.  It consisted of a “Welcome Reception” of 100 guest then a smaller reception and plated three course dinner for 140 in a Clear Top Tent provided by BeachView Tent Rentals.  The menu consisted of a layered Mozzarella and Tomato Salad Course, Artichoke Truffle Butter Souffle Crusted Beef Tenderloin and Herb Seared Chilean Sea Bass for Entree and Individual Key Lime Tartlettes for Dessert.
